Our first ever 'Cool House' at Shantumbu, near Lusaka.
Build IT International is piloting a new technology at the Shantumbu and Kawama projects.
This involves laying concrete floors using hollow waffles. They are cast on site and then laid over compacted hard-core. A cement screed is then applied to finish the floor. The result is a saving of 40% on materials. We are planning to use the technology on all our projects in Zambia.
