Current Projects

Every project we work on is developed with a local partner organisation and community groups but we are directly responsible for managing the building site and project money. However, we don’t just build schools – each project is used to train up to 20 unskilled, carefully selected young men and women in basic building skills. All trainees are from the local community.

From 2009 we aim to undertake at least four significant community building projects every year, each one benefiting at least 750 people.  Our current projects are in:

• Kawama - Resource centre, offices and two-classroom block for community school
• Makangwe – 2 classroom block and a new teachers house
• Chainda - 3 classroom block
• Donata School - 2 classrooms, office, teacher’s house and latrine
