Renovated classroom at Shantumbu
Shantumbu is a seondary school on the SW edge of Lusaka, which is supported by the Shishemo Foundation to offer practical training as well as education.
Build IT has renovated 3 classrooms including turning one into a building materials workshop, and is currently building a teahers house. There are 11 trainees on the project which is expected to be completed in early 2010.
Waffles are good for you - 8 October 2009
Build IT International is piloting a new technology at the Shantumbu and Kawama projects.
This involves laying concrete floors using hollow waffles.
