Growing steady – income up 48%

Build IT International’s accounts to 30 June 2009 have been audited and published. Highlights include:

• Income up 48% to £254,658
• Total expenditure up 142% to £232,004

Expenditure ratios:

• Direct charitable expenditure 82% (2008 = 74.3%)
• Fundraising 14% (2008 = 20.9%)
• Governance 4% (2008 = 4.8%)

The benefits of our Director going full time in May 2009 are clear to see as we have been able to expand our work substantially over the past 12 months. We are especially pleased that we have increased our expenditure on charitable activities to a healthy 82% and this should increase further in 2010. I would like to thank all our supporters for their generous donations and grants that have made this possible, and to our staff, partners and local communities for all their hard work.
