Zambian Board

We registered in Zambia in December 2008 as an international NGO, ref. ORS 102/35/3736.

Our local Board plays a vital role in developing strategy, monitoring project performance and promoting our work in Zambia. It is also responsible for ensuring compliance with Zambia laws. The Zambia Board meets at least twice a year and communicates directly with the Board in the UK.

We are delighted to have appointed the following board members:

Fishoo Tembo (Chair) – Civil engineer with international experience in Africa and the Middle East, Fishoo now runs his own construction project management company in Lusaka. He also lectures for the National Council for Construction.

Elisha Ng’onomo - Director of Village Water Zambia, a UK – Zambia NGO specializing in rural water and sanitation. Elisha also brings expertise in NGO management.

Maria Nkunika – Director of Steadfast Action Foundation – Zambia, a community based HIV and rural development initiative.

Francis Mwape – Principal, National Council for Construction in Zambia. Francis oversees in service training courses for the construction sector.

Sue Cunningham – Programme Officer, UNHCR Zambia. Sue has held senior management positions for a range of relief and development organizations in Africa and Asia.

Sue Mwanza – Chartered Management Accountant and Director of PAXCO. Sue also sits on the Board of the Zambia Revenue Authority and is a past Chair of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Reuben Lifuka – Director Riverine Consultants, architect and Chair of Transparency International, Zambia.  

Andrew Jowett, Sue Lucas and Ross Cranston from the UK also sit on the Board in Zambia.
