Partner Organisations

At Build IT International we realise the importance of partnerships. We are a specialised NGO and we need to work with other organizations in order to fully support the communities we are involved with and address the needs of the informal building sector.

Below are some of the partner organisations we work with in Zambia and the UK.

NCC – National Council for Construction (Zambia)

Our training programme has been devised in close collaboration with the NCC, and is geared towards trainees receiving nationally recognized certificates of competence on completion. We plan to expand collaboration with NCC to support the wider non-formal building sector.

The Good Earth Trust

good earth logo The Good Earth Trust is a UK based organisation which has a vision is of a world in which low-income people can access technology that improves their wellbeing and livelihoods whilst preserving and enhancing their environment.
They currently focus on promoting the use of stabilized soil block technology, that can help people improve their housing whilst greatly reducing the impact on their environment.

ZOCS – Zambian Open Community Schools

ZOCS provides support and materials to community schools in Zambia. In addition they lobby the Government to provide more support and funding for community schools. They are an ideal partner for our community school work – we do the hardware and they support the software (teacher training, governance support, school resources etc).
