Advisors

In order to widen the expertise available to the Build IT International team, we have appointed a range of advisors. On a voluntary basis they have agreed to support us with advice in their area of expertise and programme strategy. Thank you to all of them.

Martin Mulenga
Martin is a Zambian water and sanitation expert currently working for the International Institute on the Environment and Development and based in London.

Rob Fielding
Rob has worked for the past 15 years as a chartered architect (RIBA) on projects throughout Africa. His experience of low cost community buildings and technologies such as soil block is already being drawn on to benefit our work. Rob is based in D.R. Congo Kenya but has visited our programme and regularly contributes to discussions on sustainable architecture and project management.

Sheila Tuskan-Sager
With invaluable experience of running her own construction firm and a Masters in Development Studies from Oxford University, Sheila brings considerable expertise to Build IT International. She is helping us to improve the way we support local entrepreneurs to develop their enterprises.

Sharon Jackson
Sharon is International Fundraising Manager at Action Aid. She has worked in international development and fundraising since 1999, having also worked for WaterAid and Harvest Help.

Richard Boak
Richard works for Schlumberger Water Services as a senior manager. He has years of experience in Africa with as a consultant and previously with VSO and Tear Fund. Richard is supporting BII with general programme and management advice.

In addition, the members of our Board in Zambia act as local advisors.
